An ever popular part of the Salisbury International Arts Festival is Salisbury Live. The programme in 09 is shaping up very nicely and is probably the most diverse and exciting yet! We have some old favorites back plus there are additional, select events taking place on the Sunday evening.

We are delighted to welcome back French blues maestro, Claude Bourbon and exciting acoustic roots artist Martin Harley will be taking a break from his band to perform solo, ably supported by our very own Mary Spender. Local blues legend, Pete Catlin will also be ‘riffing it up big time’ with his new blues ‘super group’; The Bards.

Top Beatles tribute ensemble, Sergeant Pepper’s Only Dart Board Band are also back and Jazz buffs have a treat in store with, The Chris Walker Swingtet who are making their Salisbury Live debut.

International R’n’B /rock icons Dumpy’s Rusty Nuts are scheduled to appear supported by Salisbury’s own rock icons, Big Num. Derby’s indie/folk rockers, James Warner Prophecies are back after their barn storming appearance at last year’s event

Urban Troubadours will be a main feature of this year’s event. Urban Troubadours is an acoustic singer/songwriter collective that will be appearing in different venues over the Salisbury Live weekend showcasing a different line up at each venue. Popular local artists such as Pete Leonard, Dave Waddington and Matt Britton will be joined byEddy johns from London. The sessions will also include some rather special guests performing ‘unplugged’ sets! Route 36 present some hot new acts performing as part of the Route 36 Rampage ’09

Exciting new promotions company, Overtone Productions are organising the 15yrs+ event. An acoustic extravaganza featuring; Go Vegas, Andy Reilly, Rob Johnson, Ross Burns and White Walls For Blank Minds.

And of course there are our Salisbury Live regulars, Lady Winwoods Maggot,Party Animalz,Aaron Richie,Gemma C,22nd Street, Stereo 4, The Zucchinis, Pyeshoppe, The Delorians plus many, many more to be confirmed.
