 | JENNY ECLAIR, star of the hit Grumpy Old Women (BBC TWO series and the live show), will perform at the Festival as a one off from her ‘Because I Forgot to get a Pension Tour’. |
Jenny has issued the following appeal: “Jenny is 47, but looks older. Unfortunately, Jenny suffers from a medical condition know as Acute Show-off-itis. Without an audience she might die (mind you, with an audience she might die). Because Jenny is incapable of doing a proper day’s work, she needs your help to maintain a lifestyle that she plainly does not deserve. Please find it in your heart to support an ageing female comic who hasn’t had the sense to get herself a pension.”
Jenny will be discussing how women are ruled by their hormones and men are ruled by their bowels, blowing the whistle on the fact that the biggest passion-killer in the world is the en-suite bathroom. Expect lots of stuff about being on the mad side of forty, the odd joke rude joke and a bit of swearing, but all ingreat humour.
