Mexican Films - Ignacio Durán Loera (Mexico's Minister for Cultural Affairs)


This day of Mexican films will be introduced by Mexico's Minister for Cultural Affairs, Ignacio Durán Loera, who has co-produced films such as the highly acclaimed Like Water for Chocolate and has been a Director of the Mexican Film Institute.

Elizabeth Ash - The Diaguita


The Diaguita, the first Chileans the Spanish encountered, impressed their conquerors by their sophisticated administration, beautiful ceramics and strange rock carvings. Elizabeth Ash gives an illustrated talk, using her research into this mysterious tribe, whose descendants still live in thevalleys of the north of Chile.
