Julie & Julia
£9 with a gooey chocolate interval treat
Salisbury Arts Centre
The true story of frustrated secretary Julie Powell, who, to break the monotony of her life, sets herself a yearlong quest to cook all 524 recipes in Julia Child's classic cookbook Mastering the Art of French Cooking. Her story is interwoven with Julia Child's life in Paris in the 40s and 50s, where she is going through something of a crisis herself. With winning performances from Meryl Streep and Amy Adams, it's an inspiring story of two women who never met, yet had so much in common.
