The River Bourne Community Farm Taste Trail
Thursday 16 September
3pm-7pm, starting at Cow Lane, Laverstock, SP1 2SR, Free
Take a short stroll around the meadows, hedgerows and river banks of the farm and try locally grown produce along the way from the Farm's Food Box Selection. All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

10am and 3pm, meet at Neal's Yard Remedies, 27 Market Place, £2 per walk
Join Helen Moore, Medical Herbalist at Neal's Yard Remedies in Salisbury for this perennial favourite of the Festival. Discover the many herbs growing in the verges along the river and meadows towards Harnham and find out the uses of these valuable medicinal plants.The walk is between 2-3 miles at an easy pace.

2pm and 4pm, meet outside West End Doors of Salisbury Cathedral, £2 per walk. The walk is approximately 1 hour long
Wild food is local, often organic, it's travelled zero food miles and what's more it's free! Join forager, author and self-confessed foodie, Dave Hamilton for this short taster session as he guides you around Salisbury pointing out what might be good for the kitchen table.

Food and Drink Market

With over 70 different stalls all offering a treat of local produce, you will be stuck for choice as to where to begin. From bison and burgers to honey and wine, come celebrate (and taste!) food & drink with us at this ever popular Festival. Intermingled with cookery demonstrations, live jazz, foodie fun activities for kids and street theatre, this will truly be a great day out for everyone. Learn how to ice like the royals! Discover how the four areas of taste on the tongue can ‘wake up’ our tastebuds. Find out how and why the five senses can affect our enjoyment (or not) of food. These family friendly activities brought to you by Splat Cooking and the Academy of Culinary Arts will offer fun opportunities to help motivate and stimulate the desires of kids’ to explore the world of good food. Be warned: with a large selection of foods, icing, sprinkles and glitter, you may feel the need to get creative – and maybe even a little bit messy!
