Salisbury International Art Festival

Rising: Live in the City

Salisbury International Arts Festival offers special opportunities for young musicians and music fans aged 14-18, as part of Salisbury Live.

a

Rising: FREE Song Writing Workshop Day

Date: Sunday 22 May 2011

Time: 12 noon to 5pm

Venue: The Chapel, 34 Milford Street, Salisbury SP1 2AP

Come along for the day to get creative with song writing and performing. If you’re a songwriter but you don’t play an instrument you’ll experiment with new ideas and get your songs played by a band. If you’re a musician or singer but haven’t written songs before, come and try something new!

Led by Colin Holton and Geoff Swan, with extra inspiration from members of Caught in the Crossfire and support from other young musicians, you could also get the chance to perform (or have your song performed) in an opening slot for our Live in the City gig in the evening (so tell all your friends too!).

To sign up for the workshop go to: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/R2L5RMH

You must sign up by 5pm next Thursday 19 May if you want a chance to perform at the evening gig!
