Venues

The Ageas Salisbury International Arts Festival makes use of the wide range of fantastic arts venues in Salisbury as well as locating some performances in more unusual places.

  • Salisbury Playhouse

    Salisbury Playhouse has a number of facilities making it accessible for all.  There is accessible parking and toilets as well as level access and seating in the main auditorium, Salberg Theatre and foyer. There are automatic doors to the building and a lift to the main house. Once inside the main house theatre there are wheelchair boxes and also wheelchair spaces available in The Salberg studio.

    Parking is free from 6pm in the adjacent central car park

  • Salisbury Arts Centre

    Salisbury Arts Centre offers accessible parking. There are also toilets situated on the ground floor and public areas which are accessible by ramp or lift. Guide dogs are welcome throughout the building. An infrared hearing system is available in the main space and there are induction loop systems in The White Room Studio and the Café.  

    Salt Lane car park is a short walk from the Arts Centre and is free after 6pm

  • Salisbury Cathedral

    Most of the Cathedral floor, the Chapter House, Refectory and shop are wheelchair accessible and there are also accessible toilets available. The only areas not accessible to wheelchair users are the areas above ground level including the High Altar, Upper Presbytery and the Audley Chapel. Assistance dogs are welcome and there are three wheelchairs available for the use of visitors.

    There is no parking in the Cathedral Close, accept for blue-badge holders. Please use city centre car parks.

  • Cathedral Close

    The whole of the Cathedral Close is accessible by most, with level ground and paved walkways leading around and through the surrounding area of the Cathedral, with the only exception being the eastern garth burial ground surrounded by grass.

    The whole of the Chorister's Green is accessible by most, with level ground and paved walkways.

  • The Wardrobe Museum and Gardens

    Wheelchair access is available from the road, via the signed path, to the right of the gravel car park as you look at the Wardrobe building. Wheelchair access is available throughout the public areas, to all the main display rooms, which are situated on the ground floor and to the Bernières Tea Room. The footpath in the garden is also suitable for wheelchair access. There is a toilet specifically designed for disabled visitors.

    There is no parking at The Wardrobe Museum, please use city centre car parks.

    The ground floor of the museum is wheelchair accessible, with level access. There is also a wheelchair accessible toilet.

  • St Thomas's Church

    St. Thomas & St. Edmunds Church has an accessible ramp leading into the building, with an electric door. Once inside the church there is an accessible toilet and a hearing loop system. The company of assistance dogs are welcome throughout the building. Unfortunately, the church does not offer accessible parking on its premises. There is available parking in the Central or Market Square car parks.
