• Advisory Council

    Dame Rosemary Spencer

    Joss Dalrymple

The Advisory Council is a voluntary grouping, set up in 2012 to offer advice in specialist areas to the Festival Director and the Chair. It has a strong emphasis on fundraising for the Festival, but other areas include marketing, political advocacy and specialist areas of the arts.

The Council does not hold formal meetings, but meets in a more social context annually and convenes small think-tank groups, especially for fundraising purposes. Members are expected to advise and facilitate appropriate contacts to the Festival Director and/or senior staff, as well as to take a keen interest in the work and development of the Festival by supporting events and drawing others into contact with the Festival. There is no fixed term of membership, although members normally serve for 5-7 years and then review their involvement with the Festival Director and the Chair.
